Night to Unite Celebrations Fill Richfield on Tuesday
What to mark your calendars for this week in Richfield.

1)Â Every year, Richfield's blocks pour out of their homes to celebrate our great community during National Night Out, also known as Night to Unite. Neighbors gather for cook-outs, potlucks, or maybe just to ride bikes up and down their block or to play lawn games.Â
If you're at a loss for what to prepare for your own block party, the city offers some suggestions on their website. Don't forget to bring name tags and a marker, so new neighbors can meet, greet, and hopefully make some friends!
Photos from last year's Night to Unite celebrations can be found here. As part of last year's Night to Unite events, Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek offered a selection of tips for how to keep your home safe.
2) While the Lyndale Gardens site may be a long way from completion, the city is hosting a "concert on the go" there Wednesday night. The main act will be Hubcap, a local band that fuses funk, jazz, and latin music. Attendees will also be asked to fill out a survey about the possible location of a new bandshell in Richfield.
