Open Streets at Penn Fest

On Sept. 18, Penn Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic and cars will be replaced with fun activities.

Sometimes, Penn Avenue in Richfield is fairly quiet, and sometimes it's bumper-to-bumper with cars. Neither will be the case on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

That's when Open Streets at Penn Fest happens.

On that day, Penn Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic and cars will be replaced with fun activities like music, dancing, crafts, sports, kids entertainment and more.

People are welcome to ride bicycles or stroll down the avenue to enjoy the street without motorized vehicles to contend with, according to a news release.

Businesses along Penn Avenue will be showcased and will be a part of the fun.
