Report: Schools Vote to Pull Plug on Classic Suburban Conference
The 2013–14 school year will be the last for the Classic Suburban, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Richfield is headed for the new Metro West Conference.
The vote was 8-0 Wednesday to disband the Classic Suburban Conference after the end of the 2013–14 school year, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported:
Richfield, a lame-duck conference member, abstained. ... With Richfield headed to the Metro West Conference in 2014-15, each of the other eight schools has 90 days to find a new conference. Most likely, they will regroup under a new conference name without St. Thomas Academy.
