State health officials agree that the drastic reduction in resident movement has decreased the community spread of the coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19. The extension of the order will further aid in the spread of the disease while also allowing the state’s health care facilities to acquire necessary equipment and supplies to treat Minnesotans afflicted with the virus.
“The Stay At Home order has been challenging for all of us, but we do see that it is working to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus,” said Mayor Maria Regan Gonzalez. “We will get through this together with consistent understanding, patience and cooperation to ensure that our community remains healthy and comes out of this stronger and more resilient.”
