Richfield Man Killed In Crash On I-494

BLOOMINGTON, MN — A 37-year-old motorcyclist from Richfield died in a crash on Interstate 494 at Interstate 35W early Sunday morning.

Just after 3:30 a.m., a Honda motorcyclist going west on I-494 lost control, hitting the median. The motorcyclist then collided with a Volkswagen GTI that was traveling east on I-494 in the eastbound lanes, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, investigators said. The driver of the Volkswagen was not injured.

The motorcyclist, who was identified as Marcus Jefferyall Fiori, died at the scene.
