Out of an abundance of caution and to be consistent with other area curfews, Mayor Maria Regan Gonzalez is extending the city’s curfew for an additional night. The curfew will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on May 31.
“Richfield’s curfew has been very effective at allowing our police officers to be proactive and stop potential crimes before they start,” explained Police Chief Jay Henthorne. “Residents are our partners in public safety. If they see something suspicious, they need to call 911 immediately.”

During the city-wide curfew, the Richfield Police Department is asking residents to:
- Stay indoors
- Leave on porch lights
- Call 911 if you witness any suspicious activities
“When it comes to the safety of our residents, it is better to be over cautious than under cautious in these type of situations,” said Mayor Regan Gonzalez. The curfew is helping keep residents safe and reduce crime, so we will be extending it for one more night.”
