Richfield Police Honors Autism Awareness Month
Our Richfield police officers complete a variety of annual training courses related to crisis and conflict management.

April is Autism Awareness Month, a time to bring attention to and raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and support those living with it. Although many misconceptions exist about ASD, all of our lives are better because of the different strengths every person brings to the world. This month gives us all a chance to celebrate those who identify with ASD and their unique contributions.

Our Richfield police officers complete a variety of annual training courses related to crisis and conflict management including persuasion, de-escalation, mental health, implicit bias, and serving those with autism. For the month of April, our marked police vehicles will proudly display an autism awareness decal as a symbol of our dedication to serving those affected by ASD.
