Richfield's 'Red, White, And Blue Days' Canceled Again In 2021

Organizers expect the celebration will return in 2022.

RICHFIELD, MN — Richfield's "Red, White, and Blue Days" festival, which takes place around the Fourth of July, has been canceled for the second consecutive year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"The festival takes approximately 6-months of careful planning during a non-pandemic year, so we have had to make tough decisions based primarily on the time it takes to plan the event given the guidelines at that time," the city said in a statement.

"It has been hard to read into the future and know where we would be at currently and early July with the pandemic and vaccination rates."
