'She Came Out Of Nowhere': Richfield Hero

RICHFIELD, MN — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's job: Child care or elder care

Relationship to nominee: She walked up to me and helped me break down the tent my cat and I were living in.

Reason for recognition: She came out of nowhere with nothing to gain and started helping me. I was homeless after a back surgery, crying, in pain, no where to go and she took me to a motel so I could rest my back properly.

One thing to know: That she never once made me feel less than because I happen to be homeless. I was treated always with kindness. I was very touched by all she done for me through this.
