Snow Emergency Declared in Richfield

On-street parking will be prohibited during Richfield's snow emergency until streets have been plowed curb to curb.

A snow emergency has been declared in Richfield, city officials announced on Facebook. Officers will be out tagging and towing vehicles. Keep your vehicles off the street until they have been plowed curb-to-curb.

City officials ask that residents make other arrangements for parking vehicles.

Richfield parking restrictions after snowfall

A snow emergency is automatically in effect in Richfield after two inches of snow has fallen.
After two inches of snow has fallen, parking on the street is prohibited until the streets have been plowed curb to curb. Vehicles in violation may be ticketed and towed.

Placement of trash and recycling cans

In Richfield, it is illegal to place your trash or recycling can in the street, alley, or on the sidewalk. The cans interfere with plowing, sweeping, and become a hazard to pedestrians and traffic. Keep your trash cans behind the curb and off of the street and sidewalk.

Richfield's snowplow crews try to clear the streets as quickly as possible. High volume roads are plowed first, then neighborhood collector streets.
