3:31 a.m. — An unknown man climbed into the bed of a woman living on the 1000 block of 78th St. East, and lay next to her. When the woman woke, she frightened the man, and he fled.
6:42 a.m. — A driver reported two of his tires had been stolen off his car, parked overnight on the 6600 block of Elliot Ave South.
9:39 a.m. — Richfield police received a report that a Sports Authority patron had made off with $700 worth of merchandise.
2:29 p.m. — A motorist reported her unlocked car, parked on the 7300 block of 1st Ave South, had been broken into and rifled through. Her purse and multiple credit cards were missing.
3:42 p.m. — A resident reported their garage, on the 7500 block of 13th Ave South, was broken into.
5:40 p.m. — Richfield police conducted a prostitution sting at an unspecified location in the city.
6:04 p.m. — A man reading his iPad in Augsburg Park was pushed down and his device stolen.
July 26
5:22 a.m. — A driver reported three of their tires had been slashed overnight. The car had been parked on the 6900 block of Xerxes Ave South. Around the same time:
- Four tires on a Comcast truck were punctured on the same block.
- A tire was slashed on a car parked on the same block.
- A tire was slashed on a car parked on the 6800 block of Xerxes Ave.
- A tire was slashed on a vehicle parked on the 7200 block of Logan Ave.
- Two tires were slashed on a car parked on the 7100 block of Queen Ave.
8:24 p.m. — Police broke up a fight between three juveniles on the 700 block of East 78th Street. The three boys were released to their parents.
July 27
2:45 a.m. — A resident of the 2500 block of West 70th Street returned home to find the lights on, pry marks on the doors, and the sounds of a burglar rifling through their possessions. Police searched the home, but were unable to locate a suspect.
2:34 p.m. — Police took a report of two purses stolen out of a parked car on the 7600 block of Penn Ave South. The suspect lives with a girlfriend in the victim's apartment building.
July 28
1:45 a.m. — Police arrested a drunk driver at the intersection of Portland Ave and East 62nd Street.Â
3:22 a.m. — Police arrested a drunk motorist slumped behind the wheel of his car, parked in a lot on the 100 block of West 66th Street.
