We Owe China ONE BILLION DOLLARS

That’s right: America owes China ONE BILLION DOLLARS. ONE BILLION!

Really. No kidding. We really do owe that much money to China.

In the wake of Trump’s recent FUBARS with our N.A.T.O. allies and our adversary Putin at the Helsinki Summit, though, everyone seems to have forgotten all about it. So far, America hasn’t paid off any of this massive debt. Not one dollar. Not one cent. And, America has no plans to pay off this loan, either.

I know what you’re thinking, dear readers. You’re thinking: OBAMA! Grrrr, that OBAMA! It’s all OBAMA’S fault! He’s the one who got us into debt!

Wrong. Wrong, Wrong, Wrong!

It wasn’t Obama, it was POTUS # 43. Blame that “fiscally conservative Republican” George W. Bush. He did it. He borrowed money from China to keep the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan going. He needed the guns, ammo, and other war equipment to continue these military conflicts. It was all his fault.

And while his reasons for pursuing military actions might be disputed, there’s no disputing that he instigated actions that got us into serious, mind-blowing debt. That’s right. Dubya got us into this huge financial mess. It was Dubya’s fault.

Most Republicans, however, still want to blame Obama — for everything. They still want to ignore all the hard work he did to keep the United States from falling into total economic collapse. They still want to refrain from giving him credit for doing anything good. They still want to undermine and ridicule Obama.

But why be such poor winners?

Republicans did win the 2016 Presidential election. You could even say Republicans now control all 3 branches of government. That means you’re in charge now, guys. That means there’s a new sheriff in town…Okay. Not a real sheriff. I don’t mean that literally, just figuratively — of course. I mean there’s another fiscally challenged Republican who has no idea how our economy works. Say hello to POTUS #45, that All-American con man T-R-U-M-P.

With Trump, his Presidency is like high school all over again — only with money and nuclear weapons. He’s just another loner with orange hair who wants to be friends with the cool kids. And the President of China isn’t cool enough for him. Xi Jinping is just another un-cool kid in Trump’s mind. Why? Because he’s a living reminder that Trump and his operation, i.e., country, owe China money…a whole lot of money. That makes Trump look bad. So Xi can’t belong to T’s buddy-buddy club.

Too bad for Xi Jinping. Too bad he was so un-cool. He just didn’t want to kiss up to Trump or want to be his good bud the way Putin or Kim Jong-un did. (Deadbeats have that effect on some people.)

What’s especially bad for America, though, is that we now have a President who doesn’t understand that the world of international politics and diplomacy has nothing to do with high school cliques. Trump is in charge, and he doesn’t get it — especially when it comes to our economy and money, in general.

He doesn’t seem to realize how gargantuan this debt really is, and he’s doing everything he can to keep America in hock.

Think about it. Trump and his loyal cohorts on Capitol Hill just declared multi-billion dollar corporations tax-free zones. No more taxes for wildly lucrative “job creators,” even though 2 out of 3 “job creators” already are paying no taxes, anyway. Duh.

Then Trump slapped tariffs on our trade partners — including China, the country to which America still owes one billion dollars. That’s a lot like trying to get the bank that loaned you money fined and foreclosed for loaning you too much money. Duh.

Not only will these tariffs and monstrous tax breaks ultimately create more economic woes for our country, they also should be raising a lot of questions. But nobody wants to even ask them.

The biggest question here has to do with the very existence of this loan. Why has no one brought up the fact in recent weeks that America owes China ONE BILLION DOLLARS? It’s almost as if we believe we can magically erase this debt by not talking or thinking about the motherlode of money we actually owe. So why is Trump getting a free pass to avoid paying this debt?

Why did the misguided GOP legislators go along with ignoring this debt, then approve Trump’s tax cuts for the wealthy, then defend Trump’s tariff plans?

Even more disturbing was the way this deadbeat President actually scolded our N.A.T.O. allies for “not paying their fair share.”

When Trump took a hard line against our “freeloading allies” and demanded they pay more, where were the cries of hypocrisy?

Where was VOTUS Mike Pence with the admonishment from Mathew, 7: 2-5?

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

“Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye.”

With Trump, there’s no mote or beam, just a glint of the new Trump Tower he’s going to build in Russia and doesn’t want anyone to know about. Then again, it might be a furtive tear that comes when he thinks of his old flame Oksana Purinefsky (NOTE: the p is silent). Or maybe Melania will turn out to be the real sexy sleeper cell of his dreams…Who knows?

All this writer and seeker of truth knows is that we owe China ONE BILLION DOLLARS, and Xi Jinping is getting tired of Trump and his invisible I.O.U.s.
