MINNEAPOLIS — A 2-year-old boy died Sunday after he was pulled from a pond in Anoka County earlier in June. Uriel U. Remi, of Coon Rapids, was hospitalized on June 12 after he was found unresponsive in a pond in Lion's Park in Ham Lake.

While at the pond, family and friends found the boy unresponsive. The child was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, where he died over a week later.

Remi died from freshwater drowning, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled.
