6-Year-Old Girl Shot In Minneapolis Dies 2 Days Later

Minneapolis police are asking anyone with information on the fatal shooting to come forward.

MINNEAPOLIS — A 6-year-old girl that was shot Monday night died on Wednesday, Minneapolis police said. No arrests have been made in the case.

Just after 11 p.m. Monday, the girl was shot while riding in a car near the 3500 block of Penn Avenue North, according to police. After the gunfire, the driver immediately took the girl to Hennepin Healthcare, where she died two days later.

A man was also shot in the same area around the same time. He was taken to North Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
