91-Year-Old Lynnhurst Woman Robbed in Garage
The robbery occurred Wednesday around 2:15 p.m.

A 91-year-old woman was unloading groceries Wednesday afternoon in her garage when she was pushed down from behind and her purse was stolen.
The thief fled down the alley on the 5000 block of Fremont Avenue South, according to the incident report.
The victim was mostly uninjured. "She sustained some minor bumps and bruises, she was fortunate she wasn't more seriously injured given her age and being knocked to the ground quite violently," said Minneapolis Police Department spokesman Sgt. William Palmer.

Minneapolis released a statement that suggested the suspect could have been involved in three other burglaries in the neighborhood in recent weeks. The statement described a suspect who seen in the alley around the time of Wednesday's robbery: a neighbor said she saw a mixed-race or light-skinned black male, 5’8”-5’10". The suspect was wearing a blue sweatshirt and dark pants.
