Bicyclist Dies After Crash With Semi In Minneapolis
The fatal collision occurred in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are investigating after a bicyclist died in a crash with a semi Wednesday afternoon. Authorities responded to the scene near 12th Street North and Linden Avenue at about 4:15 p.m. The biker died at the scene.
Police believe the commercial box truck and a bicyclist were traveling on 12th Street North towards Hennepin Avenue. The truck turned right onto Linden, striking the bicyclist, authorities said.
The truck driver stopped immediately and is cooperating with investigators, according to a news release.

Investigators from the Minneapolis Police Traffic Investigation Division and the Minneapolis Crime Lab responded. The scene was documented and will be reconstructed for investigative purposes. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to inspect the commercial vehicle.
The identity of the biker, along with the nature and cause of death, will be released by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
