Bitter Cold Temperatures Saturday, Snow Sunday: Minnesota Weather

Here's the weather to expect this weekend in the Twin Cities.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Be prepared for bitter cold this weekend and into next week in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. Wind chill values as low as 10 below zero will be felt throughout the day Saturday.

There will likely be snow Sunday.

"Cooler weather settles into the area ahead of the weekend. Friday and Saturday will be cool, but dry," says the National Weather Service. "Looking ahead, folks across west central Wisconsin and Minnesota could see some light snow showers Sunday afternoon."

Tonight: Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 1. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 16. Wind chill values as low as -10. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 10. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light east northeast after midnight.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of snow after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 23. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Snow likely before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 17. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Monday Night: Snow likely, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 22. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 21 by 5pm. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
