Coronavirus: 15 Percent Of Hennepin County Is Fully Vaccinated

HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN — At least 15 percent of Hennepin County residents — more than 186,000 people — have completed their vaccine series for the coronavirus, meaning they are fully inoculated against the virus.

Another 25.4 percent of the county has received at least one dose of the virus, amounting to nearly 317,000 people.

Statewide, 15.3 percent of Minnesotans are fully vaccinated, and 25.7 percent of residents have received at least one dose.

Minnesota health officials reported zero coronavirus-related deaths Monday. It's the first day since April 13 that the state added no new deaths to its overall death toll, a sign of hope that life may return to relative normal by this summer.

According to the most recent available data, nearly 26 percent of Minnesotans — or 1,430,349 people — have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Just over 15 percent of the state's population — or 850,829 people — has been fully inoculated against the virus.
