COVID-19 Vaccine: Timeline For Minnesotans

Here's when, and how, the COVID-19 vaccines will arrive in Minnesota.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Minnesota hospitals and other "hub" sites are set to receive the first shipments of COVID-19 vaccines in the coming days. Once the doses arrive at the hubs — which are spread out throughout Minnesota — the vaccine will be distributed further to smaller hospitals, clinics, and other "spokes."

At that point, health care workers can begin administering the vaccine. Minnesotans who are "most susceptible to serious complications" and health care workers are first in line to be vaccinated.

Doses of the COVID-19 vaccines will soon arrive in Minnesota. Will you get vaccinated when it's available?


Both vaccines require each person to receive two doses to get the full effect. If all goes as planned, a maximum of 91,700 Minnesotans will be partially or fully vaccinated against the virus within the month.

In addition to local hospitals and clinics, Minnesotans will be able to get the vaccine at pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens.
