Downtown Minneapolis Home To Best Food Truck In Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS — Food trucks are a fun, different option from the classic night out at a restaurant. There’s a simple satisfaction from having the meal brought to you, and many trucks offer tasty alternatives to normal cuisine.

The Daily Meal recently released its list of “The Best Food Truck in Every State” and a Minneapolis food truck took home the top spot in our state.

The food blog considered more than 20,000 trucks throughout the United States and scanned countless reviews from sites such as Yelp, Twitter and Instagram.

At the end of the process, Minneapolis’ own World Street Kitchen was named the top food truck in Minnesota

Here's what the Daily Meal had to say about World Street Kitchen:

"The big red World Street Kitchen truck can be found on the streets of downtown Minneapolis during lunchtime from May to October. The truck, which was founded by brothers Sameh and Saed Wadi in 2012, serves a menu of globally inspired tacos, bowls and burritos, including jerk beef tacos, red curry chicken burritos and the signature Yum Yum Bowl, with your choice of meat, rice, soft cooked egg, “crunchies” and secret sauce. “If traditional restaurants are like full-length novels, then food trucks are novellas — concentrated and poignant,” researchers from the Daily Meal said. “The most successful operations boil a specific type of cuisine down to a handful of signature, crowd-pleasing dishes.”
