According to the criminal complaint, during the arrest, Derek Chauvin had his knee on George Floyd's neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
MINNEAPOLIS — All four former Minneapolis police officers involved in the arrest of George Floyd have been taken into custody and criminally charged. J Alexander Kueng, 26, of Plymouth, Thomas Lane, 37, of St. Paul and Tou Thao, 34, of Coon Rapids, each face one count each of aiding and abetting unintentional second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.
Derek Chauvin, 44, of Oakdale — who was charged by Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman last week with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter — was charged with a new count of second-degree unintentional murder while committing a felony Wednesday.
According to the criminal complaint, during the arrest, Chauvin had his knee on Floyd's neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Two minutes and 53 seconds of that time was after Floyd was "non-responsive," the complaint states.

While being restrained, Floyd said "I can't breathe" several times, said "mama" and "please," and at one point told officers "I'm about to die."
According to the criminal complaint, when Floyd appears to stop breathing in a video from the scene, Lane asked, "want to roll him on his side?" Kueng checked Floyd's right wrist for a pulse and said, "I couldn't find one," according to investigators. None of the officers moved from their positions, the complaint states.
