Twin Cities Curfew: Minneapolis, St. Paul Announce For Tuesday
Gov. Tim Walz did not extend county-wide curfews, but individual mayors are issuing city-wide curfews for Tuesday night.
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN — Several Twin Cities municipalities have put curfews into place for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Gov. Tim Walz will not extend the curfews that were put in place for Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, and Dakota counties Monday night. However, mayors and local governments can impose their own curfews on the city level if they choose, Walz noted.
Walz was asked about public safety measures during a news conference about the halting of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

Minneapolis will be under a city-wide curfew from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, the office of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey announced.
People exempted from the curfew in Minneapolis include:

- Credentialed members of the media
- Law enforcement and emergency responders
- People traveling to and from work or religious services,
- Community patrol organizations including:
- A Mother's Love
- Center for Multicultural Mediation
- Native American Community Development Institute
- Corcoran Neighborhood Organization
- T.O.U.C.H. Outreach
- Change Equals Opportunity
- Restoration Inc., and We Push for Peace.
St. Paul will also enforce a curfew from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Brooklyn Center: 10 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday
Maple Grove: 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday
Crystal: 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday
Columbia Heights: 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday
New Hope: 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday
Robbinsdale: 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday
Brooklyn Park: 8 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday
Resources from "Operation Safety Net" — a coordinated effort between the Minnesota National Guard, state patrol, and local law enforcement to maintain peace after the verdict in the murder ongoing trial against Chauvin — were deployed early Monday night after violent protests broke out over the Wright's death.
