Hit-And-Run Crash Kills 1 In Minneapolis
Police said several 911 callers reported seeing a man injured in the street.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The Minneapolis Police Department is working to find the driver who struck a man with a car before fleeing the scene on Thursday.
The crash happened in the area of 30th Avenue North and Newton Avenue North, police said in a news release. Several people in the area called 911 to report a man was injured in the street. One caller reported seeing the man being hit by a car.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and provided the victim with medical help, and paramedics took over once they arrived on the scene, authorities said. Ultimately, the victim died at the scene.

Police said the man was struck by a white or cream-colored SUV that fled east on 30th Avenue North. The victim's identify had not been released as of writing.
