Memorial Day 2021: 7 MN Campsites Still With Open Reservations

Unsurprisingly, it's hard to find camping reservations this time of year. But there are still some spots open this Memorial Day weekend.

TWIN CITIES, MN — As Minnesota begins to fully reopen and loosen all coronavirus restrictions, thousands of residents will be heading out this Memorial Day Weekend in order to experience some much-needed outdoor fun.

Unsurprisingly, it's hard to find camping reservations this time of year. Thankfully, there are some spots available at campgrounds within a few hours of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, including these seven below:

Monson Lake State Park

Address: 1690 15th Street Northeast, Sunburg, MN 56289

Note: Potable water is available in the water fountains in the campground, but the bathroom building is closed

Glacial Lakes State Park

Lake Carlos State Park

Fort Ridgely State Park

Note: The picnic shelter, amphitheater, and the Valley Trail are all closed

Big Stone Lake State Park
