MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis students will soon head back to school for the 2019-20 school year. Minneapolis Public Schools has released its school calendar for the year, which is full of important dates to remember for both parents and students.
The calendar includes dates like winter and spring break, holidays, conferences, and more. Here is the list of days you should know for this school year:
- Sept. 3 - First Day of School (1-12)
- Sept. 5 - First Day of School (PreK-K)
- Oct. 16 - Parent Teacher Conferences
- Oct. 17 - State Conference Day
- Oct. 18 - Conference Conversion Day (Flex)
- Oct. 31 - First Quarter Ends
- Nov. 1 - Teacher Record Keeping Day
- Nov. 4 - Second Quarter Begins
- Nov. 27 - Teachers Do Not Report
- Nov. 28-29 - Thanksgiving Holiday
- Dec. 23-Jan. 3 - Winter Recess
- Jan. 16 - Second Quarter Ends
- Jan. 17 - Teacher Record Keeping Day
- Jan. 20 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Jan. 21 - Third Quarter Begins
- Feb. 17 - Presidents Day
