MINNEAPOLIS, MN — One person was killed and another was injured in a Monday night shootout between two groups of people in Minneapolis, authorities said.
The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. on Monday in the area of 26th Street East and Cedar Avenue South, Minneapolis police said in a news release.
Responding officers found two people who had been shot at the scene. One adult man had non-life threatening injuries, and a juvenile male was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said investigators believe two groups of people were shooting at each other, but whoever pulled the trigger left the area before police arrived.
A homicide investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said.
