Minnesota Among Richest States In The Country: Study

Minnesota is among the richest states in the country, according to an analysis by Wallet Hub.
The study ranked 50 states plus the District of Columbia in categories such as income, GDP per capita and taxes paid per capita. Minnesota ranked as the 7th richest state doing best in income where it ranked 11th and in taxes paid per capita where it ranked third.
The richest areas in the country were the District of Columbia, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The poorest state in the country was Mississippi, which ranked 51st in all three categories. Alabama and West Virginia ranked as the 49th and 50th poorest areas in the country respectively.
