Minnesota Weather: 5 Inches Of Snow Could Fall Tuesday
Here's what we know so far about the forecasted snowstorm set to hit the Twin Cities metro area.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Another winter storn is set to hit the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area this week, bringing up to 5 inches of snow. "Forecast trends continue to show the potential for accumulating snow and travel impacts next week starting Tuesday afternoon and lasting into Wednesday," states the National Weather Service.
"The exact track is still unknown, but at this point there is a high potential for the southern half of Minnesota and Wisconsin to receive at least several inches of snowfall. Monitor forecast updates for refinements of snowfall amounts and timing over the next couple days."

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 19. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 1. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of snow afternoon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 22. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 18. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 6. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 18. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 5. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
New Year's Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 20. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
