Minnesota Weather: Dangerously Cold Temperatures
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be quite chilly in Minnesota.

TWIN CITIES, MN — A wind chill advisory is currently in effect for much of central Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro. "Wind chill values from 25 below to 35 below zero are expected," states the National Weather Service.
"Snow has tapered off across the area, but impacts to travel are expected to remain throughout today. Temperatures are expected to warm into the single digits with winds decreasing this afternoon, with wind chills expected to moderate into the -teens below zero."

"The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes," NWS adds.

Thursday: Patchy blowing snow before 9am. Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 3. Wind chill values as low as -23. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around -9. Wind chill values as low as -21. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Christmas Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 18. Wind chill values as low as -12. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 10. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 23. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. East wind around 5 mph.
Sunday: A 20 percent chance of snow after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 21. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon.
Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 1. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 9. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around -6. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 15. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 10. East wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
