Minnesota Weather: Inch Of Snow Possible Wednesday

TWIN CITIES, MN — About an inch of snow could fall in Minnesota Wednesday, though it's too early to tell how much snow the Twin Cities metro will get. "There is still uncertainty with this storm, but any snow that does fall could impact holiday travel," notes the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will also be much colder, with wind chills hitting 18 degrees below zero. The low on Thursday will be 2 degrees.

Christmas Day in the Twin Cities will be sunny with a high of 21.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 39. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 16 by 5pm. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 1. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 8. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 2. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
