Minnesota Weather: Snow Possible Wednesday, But Mostly Mild Week

Here's what to expect for the first full week of 2021 in the Twin Cities metro area.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Next week will feature light snow, but overall it will be mild. "Next week looks fairly quiet in terms of weather," states the National Weather Service. "There's a chance for light snow Sunday night and Wednesday. Other than that expect dry conditions with temperatures slightly above the seasonal average for early January."

Sunday: Areas of freezing fog before 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 29. South wind around 5 mph.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. South southwest wind around 5 mph.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 36. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 32. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. East southeast wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. East wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. East northeast wind around 5 mph.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 27. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.
