Minnesota Weather: Timeline For Weekend Snowstorm

TWIN CITIES, MN — Between 4 to 7 inches of snow could fall in the Twin Cities metro area this weekend. Snow will hit the Minneapolis-St. Paul area after 12 p.m.

"Snow is expected to spread across the region on Saturday," notes the National Weather Service. "Most locations will see at least a few inches by the time it ends on Sunday morning. Please continue to monitor the forecast for updates, especially if you have travel plans."

Saturday: Snow likely after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 21. Light south southeast wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
