MN Weather: How Long Will The Cool Temperatures Last?

Minnesotans woke up to relatively chilly weather Wednesday morning. Here's how long it will last.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Minnesotans woke up to weather in the 50s Wednesday morning, a significant change from the hot 4th of July weekend. High temperatures will stay in the 70s through Friday.

"A couple of cool and dry July days on tap before the chance for showers and thunderstorms returns Thursday night," the National Weather Service said.

"The threat for severe storms is low at this time."

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 73. North northeast wind around 10 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light northeast after midnight.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 60. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
Friday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. East wind 5 to 10 mph.
