More Human Remains Found In Minneapolis Tuesday

Police identified the remains as part of the homicide case that was launched Thursday.

MINNEAPOLIS — Police say human remains that were found in Minneapolis Tuesday are a part of an ongoing homicide case. Just before 7 p.m., police responded to the area of West River Parkway and Franklin Avenue on a report that body parts were found.

Police identified the remains as part of a case involving the death of Adam Richard Johnson, 36, of Minneapolis.

On Thursday, a homicide investigation was launched when human remains were found in the 300 block of Main Street Northeast. A day later, authorities announced that the remains belonged to Johnson.

The Minneapolis Police Department said Friday that its homicide detectives "will now work towards finding out what lead up to Mr. Johnson’s tragic death."

Since then, "dozens of tips" have come in since the investigation was launched, authorities said.
