Most-Delivered Foods, Favorite Twin Cities Restaurants: Data

MINNEAPOLIS — Bite Squad, a Twin Cities-based restaurant delivery service, reveled interesting local and national data about our eating habits this week. The company compiled data from 2018 to formulate the top ten most ordered foods across the country, as well as in the Minneapolis area.

It also released customers' top five favorite Twin Cities restaurants in 2018.

Across the nation, wings increased 95 percent year over year, securing the top spot on the list, while traditional American favorites such as burgers and pizza held steady.

A number of ethnic dishes, such as Pad Thai, sushi and fried rice, made their mark as customer favorites, and Valentine’s Day stood out as the number one holiday for couples ordering in, according to a news release.

From Sunday tailgates to Taco Tuesdays, 2018 proved that there is a food for every occasion.
