MINNEAPOLIS — For the first time in a week, there will be no curfew in Minneapolis or Saint Paul Friday night. Minnesotans "knocked it out of the park" in obeying the curfew, Department of Public Safety Commission John Harrington said at a news conference.

"Every night it got quieter and quieter, to the point that we don't see any need for the state to have a curfew."

Harrington said the process of "demobilization" of state authorities in Minnesota has begun, and some state troopers and members of the National Guard have been sent back home.
