'Significant Snowstorm' Headed for Twin Cities this Weekend
A storm arriving Friday could dump more than 6 inches of snow on the southern half of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a significant snowstorm expected to arrive later this week across the upper Midwest. A winter storm watch has been issued for the southern half of Minnesota and western Wisconsin due to the potential for 6 inches or more Friday into Saturday morning.
Snow will spread through the area during the day Friday and become heavy from the afternoon into Friday night before tapering off Saturday morning.
A frigid air mass will follow the snow this weekend. Saturday could see a low around 16 below zero.
