South Minneapolis Post Office Destroyed In Riots To Be Rebuilt
According to the United States Postal Service, the Minnehaha Post Office in South Minneapolis will be rebuilt in its original location.

SOUTHWEST MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The United States Postal Service announced it will rebuild the Minnehaha Post Office in South Minneapolis after it was destroyed last summer during the George Floyd riots.
According to the postal service, the post office will be rebuilt in the same location at 3033 27th Ave. S. in Minneapolis as it has been since 1970. Last June, the post office was destroyed by fire during nighttime hours of street violence that had broken with the day's earlier peaceful protesting.

When the project is completed, USPS officials said the Minnehaha Post Office will provide a full-service retail and house local mail delivery operations. Customers can expect to receive the same level of service from their own community as they have in the past.
