States With Fewest Coronavirus Restrictions Border Minnesota
A new report ranks the states with the most and fewest restrictions related to COVID-19.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Minnesota is in the middle of the pack when it comes to statewide restrictions related to the coronavirus. However, all four of the state's border neighbors are among those with the fewest restrictions, according to a new report.
In fact, South Dakota has the fewest COVID-19 restrictions in the entire nation, finds WalletHub. Iowa is at five, and Wisconsin isn't far behind at No. 6.
North Dakota was ranked 10.

"While all states have at least partially reopened non-essential businesses that were closed for months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. is still far from a full reopening," WalletHub said.
"In order to determine the states with the fewest coronavirus restrictions, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 17 key metrics. Our data set ranges from whether restaurants are opened to whether the state has required face masks in public and workplace temperature screenings."

States with the fewest COVID-19 Restrictions:

- Idaho
- Utah
- Oklahoma
- Iowa
- Wisconsin
- Wyoming
- Missouri
- North Dakota
- Arkansas
Minnesota was ranked at No. 32, just behind Delaware (31) and Michigan (30), and just in front of North Carolina (29).
