Suspect Injured In Shootout With Minneapolis Police
The suspect was shot after fleeing police Thursday morning, according to investigators.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating after a suspect was shot and injured by Minneapolis police Thursday morning.
Just before 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Logan and Lowry avenues on a report of someone pointing a gun at another person. In less than 60 seconds of responding, police say they were at the scene, trying to pull over the suspect fleeing in a car.
The driver refused to stop, police said, and he later crashed at the intersection of Dowling Avenue and Vincent Avenue North.

Officers and the suspect exchanged gunfire. Police also used "less lethal munitions" and were able to take the suspect into custody.
The suspect is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to a news release. No officers were injured.
