Thunderstorms Could Interrupt 4th Of July Fireworks: MN Weather

"A cold front moving across the area Sunday afternoon into the night will bring a risk of thunderstorms with it," the NWS said.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Following hot and sunny weather during the day, there is a chance that showers and thunderstorms could interrupt firework shows on the night of the 4th of July.

"It will be a hot weekend for your 4th of July celebrations," according to the National Weather Service.

"A cold front moving across the area Sunday afternoon into the night will bring a risk of thunderstorms with it. Stay hydrated and cool this weekend and make sure you have a way to receive weather alerts in case storms try to disrupt your plans."
