MINNESOTA — President Donald Trump Wednesday vowed that justice will be served following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Floyd died after being arrested by police Monday evening.
In a now viral-video of the incident that has sparked national calls for police reform, Floyd is heard telling officers "I can't breathe," and asking for water. Bystanders told an officer who had his knee on the man's neck to get off of him.

In an unprecedented move, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey Wednesday called for the "arresting officer" to be charged.
"Why is the man who killed George Floyd not in jail?" Frey asked at a news conference. Frey also asked for the police body camera footage to be released "as soon as possible" without hampering the investigation.

Frey said he has asked the Hennepin County Attorney's Office file the charge. The mayor did not want to specify what the officer should be charged with, noting that more evidence will come up.
The FBI and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigating.
Floyd was "unresponsive" and "pulseless" when Minneapolis medics arrived and put him into the ambulance, states a department document. Medics at the scene were told by bystanders that police "had killed the man."
According to the original statement released by the Minneapolis police on the incident, Floyd died at the Hennepin County Medical Center after he was taken there by ambulance.
