What's Open, Closed 4th Of July Weekend In Minneapolis
The 4th of July will fall on a Sunday this year, but many government offices and businesses will observe the holiday on Monday.
MINNEAPOLIS — Though the 4th of July falls on a Sunday, Minneapolis city government offices will be Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. Like many other fireworks shows this year. Minneapolis' "Red, White, and Boom" fireworks show has been canceled for 2021.
Here's a look at what will be closed, and what will remain open over the 4th of July weekend:
- City garbage and recycling pick-up schedules and there will be regular pickups the week of July 5,
- Solid Waste and recycling customer service office and information line is closed Monday, July 5.
- Minneapolis 311 closed July 5
- Municipal metered parking spaces will not be enforced on July 4, but they will be enforced July 5
- 911, Minneapolis police, and Minneapolis fire emergency services will remain open
