Housed in the NoMad Hotel, the hotel within a hotel at Park MGM, is the gorgeous NoMad Restaurant.

This beautiful just over a year old eatery is almost hidden in the NoMad Hotel lobby. The entryway opens to a huge two-story library modeled after the Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading in Rio de Janeiro. Most of the 25,000 books housed here come from the Rockefeller Library. In addition to the literature, the space feels cozy, elegant and intimate thanks to a pretty spiral wrought iron staircase, huge welcoming fireplace, chandeliers, dark wood tables and comfy red leather booths.

NoMad is an atmosphere of quiet conversation, more suited for dates and drawn out dinners over bachelor or bachelorette parties. The cuisine is just as exquisite as the décor.

Diners have a lot of great dishes to choose from thanks to Chef Daniel Humm. The Fruits de Mer “Le Grand Plateau” is so much more than a traditional seafood tower, with several composed dishes on ice.

Also fantastic is steak tartare of filet mignon which is prepared tableside, crab cakes, fried artichokes, foie gras mousse and snow crab claws. We also tried the Hamachi ceviche marinated in soy with jalapeno and red onion and the standout decadent white truffle tagliatelle.

Salads include a Brussels Sprouts Wedge with gorgonzola, bacon, cheese and a miso dressing; Caprese with heirloom tomatoes and burrata and a classic Caesar.

The house specialties are spectacular and serve two people. We sampled the American Wagyu Prime Rib carved tableside rubbed with porcini and black garlic and served tableside. There’s also the famous NoMad Roast Chicken with a foie gras and black truffle stuffing.

Other main dishes include the spicy lobster pasta with Calabrian sausage; scallops with tomatillos; gnocchi with pepper and pecorino; pan-roasted branzino; salmon with a horseradish crust; filet mignon and New York strip steak. All come with seasonal side dishes.

The wine list is extensive with more than 800 choices as well as a wide variety of custom cocktails.

Desserts include an off the menu cotton candy with a lime surprise; a honeyoat shortbread with brittle and ice cream; carrot cake; baked Alaska and a chocolate cremeux with toffee cake and coconut sorbet.

After dinner, we explored NoMad’s smaller dining areas, each unique, romantic and impeccably decorated. NoMad is the perfect destination for a pre or post concert or game bite before or after visiting T=Mobile Arena or the Park Theater, a romantic date or anytime you desire innovative delicious dishes in a classy and cozy atmosphere.
