Learn How to Reduce Fuel, Energy Consumption

Liberty Utilities customers who attend workshop at Merrimack Public Library next week will help raise up to $250 for the library.

The Merrimack Public Library, in conjunction with the Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative and Lakes Region Community College will sponsor a “Button Up NH” weatherization workshop on Thursday, March 14, at 6 p.m.

Certified energy professionals will present the workshop. Participants will learn basic building science concepts and how to undertake basic air sealing, insulation, and conservation measures to reduce fuel and electricity use.  Workshop attendees will also learn how to sign up for Home Performance with Energy Star – a program offered by utility providers that offers financial incentives and technical expertise to assist homeowners with buttoning up their homes.

Liberty Utilities, co-sponsor of this workshop, will make a $10 donation to the Library for each of its customers who attend, up to $250. Enter the last six digits of your natural gas account number to your registration form, or bring a copy of natural gas bill to the workshop for donation verification. The Liberty Utilities donation is based on one customer per residential natural gas account number. Other family members are invited to also attend.
