Life of Emma Cook Celebrated on April 5

Family, friends will be gathering at the John O'Leary Community Center on Church Street.

MERRIMACK, NH - At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, family and friends will be celebrating the life Emma Jennifer Cook, an exceptional young woman. Community members are inviting those who loved her join the family in remembering her.

In lieu of the traditional services typically held at a funeral home, the service will be at the John O’Leary Community Center, 4 Church St. in Merrimack.

"Emma was all about personal truth, and we are asking that her friends, share her story, either in person, or if you email us your best story of Emma, how she effected you or just a zany embrace," according to a note sent to Patch. "We will be celebrating the life of Emma."

If you can't attend, the family is asking that you not send bouquets of flowers, as "Emma found funeral bouquets creepy as hell." Instead, bring one single flower that either represents Emma to you, or your relationship to Emma.

"After all you all know Emma was big on symbolism," the note stated. "Also, we ask that you wear bright colors, happy colors as Emma was all about Happiness, and would want her friends, family and loved ones to be comfortable."
