Local Woman Causes Ruckus at Merrimack Home
Police arrested a local woman for simple assault on Tuesday night after a fight at a Merrimack home.

MERRIMACK, N.H. - Police arrested a local woman for simple assault on Tuesday night after a fight at a Merrimack home.
According to Merrimack Police, officers were called to a local residence just after 11 p.m. for a disturbance in progress.
Police spoke to several parties at the scene and determined Rachel C. Benjamin, 27, of Merrimack, NH was allegedly intoxicated and damaged a door, a phone and some dishware inside the home.

Police said Benjamin also assaulted someone by pushing them in the chest.
Benjamin was charged with three counts of criminal mischief and one count of simple assault. She was processed on the charges and released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail.

Benjamin is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack Circuit Court on May 31 to answer to the charges.
