Lindsay, No. 7 at MHS in 2021, is heading to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to study Aerospace Engineering.

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack High School's Top 10: Lindsay Rolls

Lindsay Rolls is ranked 7th in the 2021 Merrimack High School graduating class. She would like to thank her parents, her sister Melinda, her friends, and her teachers for their unwavering support and guidance throughout her years of learning.

During her four years of high school, Lindsay has pursued her passion for science and math by taking various honors and AP courses in these fields, including AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, and AP Statistics. She has also challenged herself in other areas of study by taking high-level English classes such as AP Language and Composition and English 101 through Nashua Community College. Lindsay was inducted into both the National Honor Society and National Math Honor Society during her junior year and has been involved in various community service events through these clubs. She has also played for the Merrimack High School softball team and has been a member of the Merrimack High School Theater backstage crew, partaking in shows including “Radium Girls” and “The Gift of the Magi.”

Outside of school, Lindsay has played softball since the age of six, beginning to compete in tournaments with travel teams during the last four years. She has also volunteered for the Merrimack Youth Association, assisting in running clinics for younger softball players in town. Lindsay has taken violin lessons for the past nine years, participating in Solo and Ensemble Festivals and annual recitals for Student-Centered Music Programs. Lindsay has been a Girl Scout since kindergarten, accomplishing hundreds of hours of volunteer work, benefitting organizations such as local food banks, Meals on Wheels, Families in Transition, and Merrimack Parks and Recreation, to name a few. She has also earned her Bronze Award through projects for the Nashua Humane Society and her Silver Award by rebuilding footbridges in Grater Woods for the Merrimack Conservation Commission. Lindsay has also volunteered through the Congregational Church of Hollis, participating in mission trips to Wallingford, CT and Dexter, ME, and organizing activities for younger children during annual week-long Vacation Bible School camps.

In the fall, Lindsay will be attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, and plans on majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
