SLIDESHOW: Community Remembers Ed Pane

Merrimack Police sergeant passed away from ALS this week.

Merrimack Police Sgt. Ed Pane of Bedford and Merrimack passed away on Sept. 1, due to a battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. He was 47.

This week, the community has been remembering the 1985 graduate of Merrimack High School and a police officer since the mid-1990s, with appreciation and awareness.

Yesterday, according to WMUR-TV, police officers, firefighters, school students, and other members of the community, participated in an ice bucket challenge as a memorial and also raised money for ALS.
