Supporting Wendy Thomas for Merrimack State Rep.

Wendy Thomas believes our natural resources belong to us, not international corporations or polluters.

Merrimack residents,

This week in Concord, our state senators and representatives are debating something fundamental about life here in New Hampshire, a state with among the richest and most sublime landscapes and waterways in the country: to whom do our natural resources belong.

HB135 would hold polluters liable for the damage they cause to our water supply. HB177 prevents discarding waste near a state park. SB114 ensures everyone, regardless of who they are and what they look like, can enjoy the outdoors. The list goes on.

The problem is that they may not pass, but there is something Merrimack voters can do to make sure our opinions are heard and reflected in state law. Hon. Wendy Thomas is running for state representative in Merrimack because she believes our natural resources belong to us, not international corporations or polluters. Wendy's campaign is about three things: people, people, and people.

In her first term, she earned the title "Water Warrior," organizing a peaceful demonstration and following through by writing critical legislation to make our water safe and healthy again. If elected to return to the state house, she will pick up where she left off fighting for the people of Merrimack, and that's why she will have my vote.
